As a multi-discipline creative, I alternate between photography, design, digital and applied arts and crafts. My inspiration often comes from the sights and sounds of my adoptive city of Venice in Italy, and my preferred mountain retreat in the majestic Italian Dolomites, though bright, bold colours are what capture my attention best.

For many years I collaborated as a writer and photographer for the catalogues and press releases of a contemporary art organization, for which I was also webmaster. My father was a professional photographer and the rest of my close and extended family is teeming with talent — sculptor, film maker, graphic designers, painters, illustrators, photographers, stitchers and writers — so I like to think that just a little of that talent might have been passed on to me!

When the opportunity arises, I organise workshops for small groups where we delve into creative activities such as painting on silk, weaving, papercrafts and more. Details of these will be published both here and on my sister site, *www.creativeretreatsinitaly.com. You can sign up for my newsletter for advance warning of these events.

Here at Boho Shack, you will find my ramblings and tours of discovery into new (for me) techniques, occasionally accompanied by details or images of my source of inspiration. Check out the Show Case links in the top, horizontal menu to see some of the results and also to find links to online stores which are reputable sales outlets for my work.

Hoping you will enjoy what you find in here, even if only to pick up some inspiration of your own from the resources available.

Thanks for visiting

* Please be aware that, sadly, both the web site and organised activities are unavailable at the present time due to COVID restrictions.

Made by Hand

When you buy something from an artist, you are buying more than an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experiments. You are buying days, weeks and months of frustration and moments of pure joy. You are not only buying a thing, but a piece of heart, a part of the soul, a moment in the life of someone.
