Been searching high and low for these images and have found them at last tucked right at the bottom of my hard disk!
They normally surface once a year for the kids to colour in and make cards or just for the fun of scribbling. Useful for Mums too if they need a quiet moment to get on with their own cards or other seasonal activities. Anyway, you can pick them up here now as a downloadable zip file.
You can see just a few samples of the cards in the gallery below. When you print them out on an A4 sheet, some of the images are already prepared to be folded into a card, whilst others are just large images for colouring.
List of cards contained in zip file in both large and small format:
1. angel
2. candle
3. Christmas wreath
4. Santa
5. snowman
6. tree
7. comet
Just in time, here is a sweet project for the children to do — possibly with a little help — a Spring or Easter project with eggs and bunnies and flowers. A bit of colouring, a bit of tracing, a bit of glueing to make the project just messy enough to keep everyone happy.
My own image here is just an example of the kind of effect you can get by applying the various elements. As you can probably see, i haven’t stuck the grass down completely, but just along the bottom edge so that some of the shapes can be partly hidden behind the grass tops. I believe that you will find most of what you need around the home — colours such as crayons, felt tips or pastels are all fine — and you can use food cartons for the shapes, or recycled wrapping paper if you are looking for something with a pattern for the eggs for instance.
Anyway — your imagination is the only limit, so have fun!
Got a very pleasant surprise when I opened up my mail this evening – I discovered that some kind soul had bought one of my calendars! Just want to say many thanks indeed to whoever you are and wherever you are! I hope the calendar gives you as much pleasure as it did for me to create the images inside it! If you are interested in a calendar for this year, click on the image to be taken to Red Bubble which handles the print-on-demand calendar sales.
The surprise came at the end of a pretty exhausting day – hubby went off on the motorbike for a long ride mid-morning leaving me here to nurse my ribs and try to do some overdue web work. It is pretty uncomfortable to sit in front of the computer right now, but I managed to make some headway and hope to find some time to get in a bit of crafting next week – and maybe some more of that homemade bread.
My Christmas Swapper, Ruth of Nice Day Designs in Ireland tells me that my parcel reached her and that she was pleased with the bits and pieces I sent. Now I can look forward to her ‘donation’ soon which she tells me will soon be sent off to me.
Anyway – ’nuff said …
Night everyone!
Now is the perfect time to get in your orders for our beautiful calendars before the rush sets in and the postal system gets clogged up!

I’m afraid the image doesn’t do the wall hanging justice, but these are really very attractive and make nice little gifts so you might like to try this one out for yourselves. There is only one heart in the photograph, but the wall hanging actually has 3 of them, one above the other.

Have gone in for grunge in a big way with the collection of 5 Christmas cards created using recycled paper and prints from my original lino cuts. Each iconic image of a Venetian landmark has been treated with a distressed effect to give the finished image a weathered and old, grungy feel to it. They make a change from the usual images if someone is looking for something a bit different. Every card is different for the simple reason that each of them is printed by hand.
As usual, please be aware that the colour reproduction on the site is not perfect so the photographs are intended as a guideline only.
Thought I would take a break from the glue gun and the sewing machine, and put to rights a few images I had waiting for some digital darkrooming. I think it was last year (or maybe earlier) that I built up quite a collection of my photographs of flowers which got used for various things, including calendars – but I still had a collage collection to complete. Here you can see one of the set of five from the collection. I like the vibrant colours and the slightly different treatment – this sort of puzzle effect without the wonky edges.

So I have moved one step further with my note book production and have done some larger ones (21.50 x 15.00 cms), still using the gorgeous designer papers. These are all one-of-a-kind, with both back and front covers in super paper, with a block of 40 coloured sheets (80 sides) inside, bound with spirals. I have experimented with one of the covers as a photo mount too – a fun way to recycle the covers when the paper inside is all used up. Anyway, take a look for yourselves…
Been doing these little note block holders. I have a feeling that with the current economic crisis people are going to be looking more for useful gifts rather than ornamental ones, so this is my answer to that need: a little covered cardboard note block holder with closeable flap and linen covered ‘hinges’. When the notes run out they can easily be replaced with a standard sticky note block (76 x 76 mm) which are available in most stationers. I have found some beautiful designer papers which I’m using for these holders, choosing the smaller prints which show up to best effect on small areas – and I am using some of my pretty glass and ceramic beads for the closure, along with the pretty scrapbooking rivets on some of them. On others I have been trying out the clever little velcro dot closures which are very effective.
